Retracted clinical view, #3 is seen with advanced buccal recession exposing the roots & decay under the crown. Mirror view of the occlusal of #3. In order to keep the patient in 1st molar occlusion and her ability to chew on her right side, an implant was needed.
To prepare the site, #3 was extracted & bone grafted. X-ray with implant #3 in place. Panoramic x-ray showing the implant 4 months after placement. The patient was referred back her general dentist to complete the custom abutment and crown.
