Dr. Findley has been practicing in Albany, Georgia since graduating with honors from the University of Louisville School of Dentistry in 1974. He is also a graduate of Misch Advanced Dental Implant Institute and Misch Implant Institute Advanced Prosthetics. Dr. Findley is a recipient of the prestigious Fellowship and Mastership awards of the Academy of General Dentistry as well as the degree of Diplomat from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He also holds certificates and fellowships from numerous implant organizations.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, Southwest District Dental Society and Albany Area Dental Society. Dr. Findley is also a member of the University of Louisville Second Century Society and of the SimPlant Academy. He currently serves as “Associate Faculty”, with the L.D. Pankey Institute for Advanced Continuing Education in Miami, Florida, where he is an alumnus and member of the Class One Triple Plus Club. He also sits on the Board of Directors at the L.D. Pankey Institute. In addition, Dr. Findley serves as an adjunct Instructor for the Department of Diagnosis Sciences, Prosthodontics, and Restorative Dentistry, University of Louisville School of Dentistry.
Dr. Findley served as a past officer and member of the Board of Directors of the Georgia chapter of the Academy of General Dentistry. He also was President of the Georgia Academy of General Dentistry from1995-1996.
His primary interest is in providing general dentistry with an emphasis on implants and crown and bridge. These are topics Dr. Findley covers when serving as special lecturer to dental groups, dental hygienists and lay groups. He has been involved in implant dentistry since 1985 and currently has thousands of dental implants in place with a success rate in excess of 98%.
Dr. Findley recently received the prestigious Life Long Learning and Service Recognition from the Academy of General Dentistry. As of May 30, 2006, Dr. Findley is one of twenty-one dentists in the world and one of two dentists in the state of Georgia to receive this honor.
Dr. Findley is passionate, enthusiastic and very devoted to his profession. After having practiced for almost 38 years now, Dr. Findley has no plans to retire anytime soon.
Dr. Findley is an avid sportsman. He is involved in all types of athletics from calisthenics and elliptical machines, to jogging and swimming. His favorite sports are swimming, tennis and basketball.
Dr. Findley is also an avid upland bird hunter; primarily quail. He owns a number of bird dogs and keeps them kenneled at his farm. Therefore, from October to March, Dr. Findley is passionate and avid about quail hunting, almost as much as he is about his family and dentistry.
Dr. Findley married the former Judy Ann Livingston from Baker County in 1969. Judy currently takes care of their house but for years she provided expert help and assistance in our dental practice. She is a very talented artist and wonderful Mother.
The Findley’s live on their farm in Worth County, where their love for the country continues to grow.
Judy Ann Findley, Carl’s wife, worked with him in the office for 25 years and always enjoyed working with his wonderful staff and patients. She still retains a close relationship with all of the ladies and many of the patients. After leaving the office in 2004, she remains busy running the family quail preserve, Whisperwood, in Worth County. She is a dedicated animal rights advocate, locally and nationally. She loves to cook, and enjoys painting and reading when time permits. She sings with her cousins in a gospel trio, “The Next of Kin.” They often sing at community functions, churches, funerals, churches, and weddings. She also sings in the church choir at Pinson United Methodist Church in Sylvester.
Carl Eugene Findley III, Jennifer Rose Findley, and Aaron Milton Findley:
Carl III has a PhD from the University of Chicago’s John U. Nef Committee on Social Thought, the nation’s premier interdisciplinary doctoral program. Carl is a specialist in literature and philosophy and is a professor in the Departments of Philosophy and Interdisciplinary Studies at Mercer University in Macon, Georgia.
Jennifer, Carl’s wife, has a Master’s Degree in European Cultural and Intellectual History from the University of Chicago, and is currently a student at Mercer University’s Walter F. George School of Law, where she is a Merit Scholar and a member of the Mercer Law Review. We are certainly proud of Carl and Jennifer. They reside in Macon and love being back in the South.
Aaron has a master’s in Divinity from Austin Theological Presbyterian Seminary. Additionally, he has a master’s in history from the University of Illinois at Chicago. He is working on his two-year master’s in social work at Loyola University. Aaron additionally is a B.A. in German from Univeristy of the South at Sewanee in Tennessee. Aaron’s goal is to work with the geriatric generation to help make their lives more pleasant and simpler in any way he can. He is currently pursuing an extern program that will allow him to be certified as a chaplain in March of 2016. He will become an active member of a chaplainship in some form in a larger hospital or hospice. We are certainly proud of Aaron.
